Scripture Passage:
Exodus 23:20-33

The apostle Paul exhorts us to "run with perseverance the race marked out for us." The good news is that we do not have to run alone. Discipling relationships can provide a "running partner" or someone "further down the road" to help us with our spiritual journey. The format is flexible and can be tailored to individual needs, including smaller men's and women's groups.

But with God's guidance and strength, we can maintain character that lasts despite temptations and troubles.

Carol Kent Becoming A Woman Of Influence Kent offers you ideas for building solid mentoring relationships based on seven principles Jesus used with his disciples. Personal stories, quotes, and Scripture relate each principle to your life, and "Going Deeper" questions promote further discovery.
Robert S. McGee The Search for Significance You will learn how to get off the performance treadmill, discover why the man or woman who lives only for the love and attention of another is never satisfied, how to be intense and ambitious about the right things, Christ and His cause, and how to be free to enjoy his love.
Henri Nouwen Reaching Out In order to embrace a prayerful, genuine spiritual life that is open to the needs of others, we must first focus on spiritual life as it relates to the experience of our own selves; secondly as it relates to others; and thirdly as it relates to our relationship with God. This book, Reaching Out, is rich in psychological insights and will be welcomed by Christians everywhere as a thought- provoking spiritual guide.
J.I. Packer Knowing God There's a difference between knowing God and knowing about God. When you truly know God, you have energy to serve him, boldness to share him, and contentment in him.
John Piper Desiring God Strengthen your relationship with God simply by enjoying him and his creation.
