• Bryan gave an update on a potential ministry opportunity
• Timothy shared about a CBCGB reunion
• David raised that we should help church members know how to respond to transgender bathroom bills

• Update to the state of the church (Pastor Caleb Chang in absentia)

• 5/28-30 Summer retreat went well
• English Pastor Search is ongoing, and there is an interim transition plan in place for after Pastor Chuck retires
• There is a youth pastor candidate
• Pastors approved a seminarian scholarship for children ministry and COM
• Metrosouth church fundraising and morale is going well
• CM summer sermon series will be on basic doctrine topics, mostly evangelistic
• Church building expansion plan progressing with Phil Sailor leading effort. CM has already reached maximum capacity, so we need a plan to address this
• HVAC replacement project will need church council approval in June and likely cost an estimated $200k

• Technology updates

• We will replace the existing phone systems with a new one
• We replaced the sanctuary projector cables to support higher resolution displays
• We are investigating implementing local video streaming to other rooms

• We will install a new playground
• We are planning to replace the main building HVAC systems for the chapel, first floor classrooms, and front entrance/lobby. This will cost an estimated $200k

• Elder Nomination Updates

• Reviewed candidates to nominate for the board of elders

• June Church Council Retreat (6/18) planning/agenda

• Reviewed and finalized June church council retreat agenda

• Job Transition Ministry - Change name/increase budget (Frank Huang)

• Frank Huang proposed to rename and expand the Job Transition Ministry to a Vocational Ministry (CM) to support church members being “daily local gospel ministers in their workplaces” in addition to helping church members searching for jobs
• Frank requested a budget for this ministry of $1500
• Approved in principle to support both, pending a final ministry charter

• Meet with Youth Minister candidate

• Met with Youth Minister candidate for Q&A
