• Potential ministries are around us:

• New immigrants and parachute young students and parents from China. Consider stronger CM supported youth and kids ministry tracks
• Student-host-family ministry is expecting
• BS group is invited by Rainbow Senior Center and senior housing organizations
• North Shore (Gordon CTS&C) fellowship group and rides by Guan Liu

• Junior Alive cancellation - prompt us to consider the following:

• Improving communication amongst all ministry groups
• Ministries integration, desegregation project
• Starting with pastors, a “synchronized” annual calendar is under design

• BoE approved Pastor Caleb’s sabbatical plan from April to September 2017

• Pastor David Eng will be acting senior pastor during this

• BOD updates        (Deacon Haiguo)

• HD video recording system of sermons installed. Still testing and getting feedback
• HVAC for Chapel/1st floor/entrance: delayed but waiting for contractor to get rebate info from Ever Source
• Upper parking lot lighting planned
• Room clean-up
• Facility usage policy revision and implementation

• BoE approved update to add line: “Any application for church facilities must have an endorsement from a current Church Council member”

• Annual Meeting (10/16) planning/agenda (Elder KC and All)

• Reviewed and finalized agenda for Church annual membership meeting on 10/16

• Metro-South Independence (1/1/2017) Approval (Elder KC and All)

• BoE approved Metrosouth becoming an independent church 1/1/2017

• CBE Project Phase II Requirement Documents - Next Step        (Elder KC and All)

• Discussed CM worship space alternatives

• Pastor Caleb will lead a feasibility study on having multiple CM services
• Elder Yuguang will lead a feasibility study on live-streaming to satellite campuses

• Goal is to provide report to church council in December

• CM Spiritual Formation and English Ministry review Planning (Elder Terry and Elder David)

• Elder Terry will lead a CM Spiritual Formation Review November 2016
• Elder David will lead an English Ministry review December 2016

• Church Mission Statement Process Updates         (Elder Bryan)

• Elder Bryan will kick off the committee meetings in January 2017
• Elder Terry and Elder KC will join the mission statement committee from BoE

• CBCGB Student Ministry Strategy (Elder Yuguang and All)

• Will take advantage of our missionary Kenny Chau’s initiatives during the afternoon of the upcoming joint missions/social concerns conference to discuss strategically collaborating to reach out to international students 

• Pastor Caleb Retirement Proposal (Pastor Caleb and all)

• Pastor Caleb requested that he retire in 2018 and that the BoE approve this timeline
• BoE approved this timeline and will announce the timeline and plans at the annual membership meeting on Oct 16, 2016
