• Brief sharing (thanksgiving, testimony, etc.)

• Bryan shared an update about a ministry opportunity
• Loren shared about joining the BoE

• Update to the state of the church (Pastor Caleb Chang)

• Caleb already presented the state of the church during the previous Church Council meeting earlier in the day and pointed to that

• BOE chair election and other work assignments (All)

• Yuguang was elected chair of the BoE
• Loren was elected secretary of the BoE
• Yuguang will work with the church building expansion committee and the missions committee
• Loren will work with the IT committee
• Timothy will work with the spiritual formation committee and membership committee
• Bryan will work with the social concerns committee
• David will work with the community outreach committee and worship committee

• Ministry Review - Cross Bridge Ministry (Elder David Ho and All)

• Pastor David Eng and Emily Cheng presented on the state of Cross Bridge on the topics:

• State of Cross Bridge Update

• Attendance and giving are stable
• Pastor Chuck retired, and Dr. Jeff Arthurs is preaching 2x/month in the interim. He is well-received
• High member service participation: 1.4 ministries/person, with up to 6-7 ministries for some people

• Cross Bridge Fellowship Update

• Cross Bridge fellowships organized by demographic and location
• Small groups are entry and integration point for newcomers

• Core Strategic Priorities

• We incorporate prayer as a high priority
• We improve our integration of newcomers / those in the periphery and provide a great first impression
• Our children's ministry meets typical American standards
• We develop discipleship ministries focused on individual spiritual growth
• Our Sunday worship provides a 1st class experience and draws people
• We currently have a strong Vocational Focus.

• Challenges

• Ensure CM service ends at 10:45; otherwise, there are many negative consequences on CB service
• Children’s programs need full-church support; otherwise, parents may leave CBCGB andCB children’s ministry workers may stop serving due to burnout
• We need a music worship pastor/leader to improve our worship service; otherwise, we are at a disadvantage to attract new members and provide consistency

• English Pastor search updates (Elder Terry and Others)

• English Pastor search is still ongoing, with many applicants in the pipeline
• BoE supports exploring either 1 full-time person or 2 part-time people to fill the English pastor position, as necessary

• Senior Pastor Search Committee member review and approval (Elder Yuguang and All)

• Elder Yuguang will chair the Senior Pastor Search Committee
• Reviewed and approved list of potential members to nominate to search committee. Yuguang will form the committee from the approved list

• Discussion/Approval of Life on Life to be included in CBCGB partner list (all)

• Approved including Life on Life on the CBCGB partner list

• English Admin candidate approval (Pastor Caleb and all)

• Discussed an English Admin applicant. Loren will help in coordinating to request more info
