What is Bible Quizzing
The mission of quizzing is to see visible evidence of the application of God's Word in the lifestyle of each participant.
Providing children and youth with an opportunity to be involved in the systematic study and application of God's Word
Building character, instilling self-discipline, and encouraging prayer and unity
Equipping young people with the capacity to serve in other areas of ministry
Key Features
1. High-commitment: For the book of Hebrews, Juniors (3-5th grade) memorize 4-5 verses a day; Hebrews and 1&2 Peter, seniors (6-12th grade) memorize 6-8.
Quizzers are expected to attend every quiz practice (Sunday afternoons) and quiz meet (Sunday once per month).
2. Safe, Fun Competition: Teams of 3-5 quizzers from all different churches compete to answer questions based on the Bibles verses they memorized. One mentoring coach is assigned to each team.
Monthly quiz meets and tournaments are characterized by lots of fellowship, service and leadership, lessons in team unity, and of course—fun!
3. Discipleship: Parents/Adult volunteers are encouraged to mentor quizzers and provide insight into the Scriptures that they are memorizing.
Youths grow in God’s Word; they develop leadership skills as team captains and worship team volunteers; they learn to treasure God’s Word instead of the trophy.
