Summerbridge is a one-week, full-day day camp that our church, CBCGB, hosts in partnership with Access, a non-profit in Boston’s Chinatown. During the week of Summerbridge, we bring 40 elementary school kids from Chinatown to our church, where in the morning, they have enrichment activities and in the afternoon they go on field trips. While we aim to show Jesus's love to the children at Summerbridge, Summerbridge isn’t a traditional vacation Bible school. Many of the students who come through the program are children of immigrant parents, and we want to be able to provide these children with experiences they would not otherwise have due to their socio-economic status.
